On November 15th I look forward to seeing you at the prestigious Fondazione Cariplo Congress Center in Milan for an event that will explore a very relevant theme: “𝗗𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻. 𝗟'𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 '90 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗩𝗜 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮 𝗨𝗘”.
We chose this topic with the new generations of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) experts in mind, who have only recently approached this sector and may not be fully familiar with the origins and evolution of the regulations and investigative techniques applied to anti-money laundering.
Understanding the origins of anti-money laundering legislation, the creation and role of the FIU, and the evolution of investigative and repressive techniques is essential to effectively perform one's work and understand the current context. I firmly believe that understanding where we started is essential to addressing future challenges with awareness and competence.
The 2024 National Anti-Money Laundering Forum will be divided into two parts. Today I am pleased to introduce the speakers for the first part. Among the special guests who will speak: 𝗚𝗲𝗻. 𝗖.𝗔. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗲, Director of the DIA; 𝗗𝗼𝘁𝘁. Alfredo Tidu, Deputy Director General of the UIF; 𝗗𝗼𝘁𝘁. 𝗚𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗮, consultant to the prosecutor's office; 𝗗𝗼𝘁𝘁. Emmanuele Di Fenza , former Group Head of Financial Crime Customer Investigations at Intesa Sanpaolo; and 𝗗𝗼𝘁𝘁.𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝘇𝗲𝗴𝗼, Head of the Anti-Money Laundering Supervision and Regulation Unit of the Bank of Italy. The Forum will be moderated by 𝗔𝘃𝘃. Fabrizio Vedana , who will ensure a dynamic and in-depth discussion.
We are pleased to mention our Main Partners, Betpoint srl e KPMG Italy, whose support helps make the Forum a leading event in the sector. We enthusiastically welcome the collaboration of the Technical Partners, Aptus.AI e ItaliaOggi, who enrich the program with their expertise and vision. The event's hospitality is enhanced by the presence of Confectionary Partners, Bontempi – Natural Recognition Natural, while the contribution of ACAMS, our Institutional Partner, underlines the importance and prestige of the initiative.
📢 Don't miss the opportunity to attend this important event and listen to leading industry experts. Participation is free, but seats are almost sold out.
See you on Wednesday when I'll reveal the speakers for the second part of the Forum.
