Marco Figus, a former student at the European School of Banking Management, shares his experience with the Master's in Risk Management program, which he was able to pursue thanks to funding from the Lazio Region's "Torno Subito" program.
Why did you decide to do a Master's in RISK MANAGEMENT?
My interest in the Risk sector was the main motivation that led me to choose this Master's program. It's a field I had the opportunity to explore in depth during my university studies, taking an exam on risk management models. This Master's program allowed me to study and delve deeper into these topics with a view to future professional application.
Did you receive any funding or financing to participate in the Master's program?
I was able to attend the Master's program thanks to the "Torno Subito" program, which fully funded my training and covered travel expenses for the entire course. Another great benefit was being able to present a project specifically in my area of interest, Risk Management, and, upon completion of the Master's program, completing an internship that will allow me to put into practice the knowledge and skills I acquired in the classroom.
How did you learn about the European School of Banking Management and why did you choose it for your education?
I discovered the European School of Banking Management through an online search using the keywords "Master in Risk Management." It was the first choice that caught my attention, and this was later confirmed by consulting the School's website and studying the Master's program, which immediately struck me as comprehensive and perfectly aligned with my interests.
What is your opinion of the classroom phase with regards to organization, teaching methodology, teacher skills, interaction and exercises?
My overall assessment is definitely positive. I was able to meet highly competent and knowledgeable teachers in class and interact with my classmates through group activities where we had the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge we had acquired in class. I was also impressed by the fact that, throughout the specialization portion, my classmates were managers and executives who already work in the banking industry. The teaching materials shown in class were accessible via an e-learning platform with handouts and assessment tests.
To what extent do you think the master's degree will influence your professional career?
With the training I've gained through my Master's degree and the completion of my degree, I'll be able to enhance my CV and present myself to companies with a better understanding of the industry, hoping to find a job in my desired field: Risk Management.
