The Parallel Lives of Lucio Macchia, Between Management and Poetry

Edited by Lucio Macchia

Lucio Macchia's poetry collection, "E altro Ë da veder," published by Terra d'Ulivi in the I quarzi series, is now available in bookstores. Lucio has a long and established history of collaboration with Strategies, as a trainer in the areas of corporate finance, business planning, and marketing. Born in Pescara in 1965, after high school he moved to Rome, where he completed his university studies in engineering and where he still lives. His profession is in the corporate world, and his first publication, in 2010, involved a management essay. Alongside his life of "practical reason"—and "in divergence" from it—he has pursued a long-standing passion for writing, which has intensified over the past ten years, during which his expressive exploration has evolved into a style characterized by strong introspection: a poetics of the ineffable, the invisible, aimed at "revealing the world" through the sign, beyond the sign. His signature blends lyricism and prose, intimate narrative—at times diaristic—and unconscious, evocative, dreamlike visions. After some initial experiments with self-publishing, he has arrived at this, his first published collection, which we are pleased to feature in our newsletter.
