On Friday 21 October, the Parco dei Principi Hotel hosted theinauguration of the academic year 2016/2017 on the occasion of which the European School of Banking Management celebrated, together with its partners Banca del Cilento and Lucania Sud, Banca Popolare di Puglia e Basilicata, Banca Popolare Pugliese, Federazione delle BCC Siciliane and Betpoint, all the students and companies that have given life to an intense and fruitful academic year, culminating with the awarding of diplomas and prizes deserved in various ways, and to those who are about to undertake new training courses, with the hope that they will be equally virtuous.
The event was a resounding success, engaging all participants in a pleasant and rewarding way, from the anti-money laundering officers who had earned a Master's degree in Anti-Money Laundering, adding new and certified skills to their already extensive professional backgrounds in the field, to the students aiming for a brilliant career, and their families, who came to share this important moment.
The inauguration ceremony was also an opportunity to analyse the innovations introduced by the EU Anti-Money Laundering Directive IV in the round table, moderated by the lawyer Matteo Tonelli, which saw the interventions of Giorgio Save, former Director of the Bari and Trento branches of the Bank of Italy; Rachele Chants, Regional Director of the State Customs and Monopolies Agency; Andrew Wilson, founding partner of QI Solutions in Florence and Sergio Silvestri, Director of the European School of Banking Management.
