Executive Master OSINT & Anti-Fraud Techniques
About This Course
Introduction
OSINT, is the acronym for the English words Open Source INTelligence (from open sources), and identifies the process/activity of gathering information through the consultation of publicly accessible sources or open sources.
OSINT is the activity performed by Robert Redford's character, codenamed "Condor," in Sidney Pollack's 1975 film "Three Days of the Condor." Redford was a CIA analyst working in a clandestine office in New York City, where he read and analyzed the contents of books, newspapers, and magazines from around the world, seeking hidden meanings, secret codes, and suspicious individuals.
Today, this activity has spread not only among governments, police forces, intelligence agencies, etc., but also among private organizations such as large companies, banks, and financial intermediaries, which are increasingly using this methodology.
The functions most affected are: Internal Audit, Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, Risk Management, Recruiters and Investigative Journalists.
The Master's Specialization will present basic and advanced concepts for personnel approaching the world of Intelligence and OSINT in particular for the first time.
The aim of the Master's program is to provide in-depth knowledge of disciplines related to the world of Intelligence, focusing on Open Source analysis methods and their practical applications. Given the predominantly practical component, each student must bring their own personal computer (BYOL - Bring Your Own Laptop).
Location
The Master is available and accessible in the following modes:
– Physical classroom
– Webinar classroom
– E-learning
Structure
17 Blended Modules (8 classroom + 8 e-learning) + Extra Conference.
The Master in OSINT lasts 5 months and is organized into 17 modules attended in blended mode.
Each module includes one day of classroom instruction and three weeks of e-learning. The e-learning module follows the classroom module, exploring the topics in greater depth and certifying skills through assessment tests, which take an average of approximately 10 minutes per day to complete.
The Master's program includes significant hands-on learning, with afternoons dedicated to practical analysis of real-world cases, proposed by the students themselves in the days preceding the program, and the subject of analysis and plenary discussion or exercises led by the instructor.
