Introduction

In the context of foreign economic transactions, regulations on international sanctions, export controls, embargoes, and trade restrictions have assumed primary importance at both the European and Italian levels, significantly impacting the compliance of businesses, banks, and professionals. Conducting enhanced checks and proper anti-money laundering due diligence is essential for transactions with countries subject to sanctions.
The Master's Degree in International Sanctions, Export Control and Anti-Money Laundering, providing an overview of the European and Italian legislative framework for sanctions, embargoes, and trade restrictions, aims to equip students with the tools to identify and distinguish the various types of international sanctions and restrictions, analyzing their interaction with anti-money laundering legislation, with a particular focus on the restrictive measures adopted by the European Union against the Russian Federation and Belarus.

Structure

30 Blended Modules (15 classroom + 15 e-learning) + Extra Conference.
IlMaster International Sanctions, Export Control and Anti-Money Laundering, lasts 7 months and is organized into 30 modules attended in a blended learning environment. Each module includes one day of classroom instruction and three weeks of e-learning. The e-learning module follows the classroom module, exploring the topics in greater depth and allowing for the certification of acquired skills through assessment tests with an average daily commitment of approximately 10 minutes. The Master's program includes significant hands-on learning, with afternoons dedicated to practical analysis of real-world cases, proposed by the students themselves in the days preceding the program, which are analyzed and discussed in plenary or through exercises led by the instructor.

Il Master International Sanctions, Export Control and Anti-Money Laundering The course is aimed at anyone involved in internationalization processes within a company, with a particular focus on export control, holding positions of responsibility or operational roles, and who wishes to consolidate and expand their specialized knowledge. Sanctions managers and specialists within export companies, banks, and financial intermediaries; Anti-Money Laundering managers and specialists; Anti-Money Laundering Delegates; SOS managers; Legal managers and specialists; Compliance and Internal Audit managers; Risk Management managers and specialists.

Master's Diploma

At the end of the training course, each student will be able to obtain the Diploma of the Master in International Sanctions, the Certificate, which will certify attendance of the training course and the acquisition of specialized skills verified through the final written and oral exam and tests taken using the School's e-Learning platform.

Achievement is subject to the following conditions:

  • regular attendance at classroom lessons;
  • regular attendance of lessons on the E-Learning platform;
  • passing the required written tests;
  • passing the tests provided on the e-learning platform;

The issuing of the Diploma and other qualifications is, however, subject to regular attendance at lessons (at least 80% of the days).

Register of “Sanction Certified Managers”

At the end of the course, REGISTRATION to the REGISTER is required. Sanction Certified Managers reserved for graduates of the Master's in “International Sanctions, Export Control and Anti-Money Laundering” and held at the European School of Banking Management.
