Classroom Rules

Valid for Masters and Courses at the European School of Banking Management and the Italian Anti-Money Laundering School

1. Attendance Methods and General Regulations

Access to the Platform
After completing registration, students will receive personal credentials to access the online learning platform. These credentials are strictly personal and must be used only for educational purposes related to the Master's program. Sharing these credentials with third parties is strictly prohibited.

Definition of Classroom
The term "classroom" refers, unless otherwise specified, to in-person teaching activities and/or activities delivered via an e-learning platform. The Master's Degree/Course is delivered in a blended mode, with both in-person and online lessons. Access to e-learning content is permitted during the time periods specified in the academic calendar, and individual preparation remains the student's responsibility. If in-person classroom participation is required, this will be specifically specified.

Duration and Access to Content
The overall duration of the Master's/Course and its organizational details are specified in the official brochure, which is an integral part of these regulations. Upon expiration of the training period, access to the platform and teaching materials will be revoked.

Program and Teaching Methodology
Details regarding the program, training methodology, and teaching organization are provided in the brochure. The School reserves the right to make changes to the program, schedule, and content for organizational or teaching reasons.

Teaching Material
The teaching materials provided include lessons in ".SCORM" format and non-editable ".PDF" texts, written by accredited instructors. All content is copyrighted and is for the exclusive use of participants.

Attendance Obligations
Minimum attendance is 80% of the total hours. Unexcused absences exceeding 20% will result in exclusion from the Master's program without reimbursement. Session recordings are available for make-up purposes only and do not reduce the total number of absences.

Frequency Mode
The AML Diploma Master is delivered in blended learning mode, through a path divided into 45 modules distributed between:

  • Asynchronous e-learning, with content available on the training platform according to the teaching calendar and made accessible for limited periods of time;
  • Recorded teaching with a teacher, including video modules accompanied by tests to verify learning;
  • In-person lessons, aimed at consolidating acquired skills, promoting direct interaction and professional exchange.

The e-learning component consists of video lessons recorded by instructors and made available via the FAD (Distance Learning) platform. These lessons are an integral part of the training program and are organized into progressive teaching modules.

Recorded lessons will be made available to participants according to the teaching calendar communicated by the School at the start of the Master's program.

Each training module will be accessible on the platform for a limited period of 7 (seven) consecutive days, equal to 168 hours, starting from 00:00 on Monday until 23:59 on Sunday of the same week.

After this deadline, the relevant teaching content will no longer be accessible to the student and the ordinary possibility of recovering the unused module will not be provided.

Therefore, for reasons beyond the School's control, it remains the participant's responsibility to attend classes within the timeframe set forth in the academic calendar. The training program also includes in-person training sessions, according to the calendar communicated by the School.

The participant declares that he/she has read and accepts the teaching calendar and the methods for the temporal release of the training contents.

Exclusion for Insufficient Performance or Non-Payment
The School reserves the right to exclude a participant for insufficient performance. Failure to meet the deadlines or payment terms for the scheduled installments will result in the immediate suspension of access to the e-learning platform and all teaching materials. If the payment continues, the participant will be permanently excluded. In any case, payment of the full participation fee remains mandatory.

Teaching Support
A tutor will be available via email, contactable through the academic office. Any missed activities may be made up exclusively in the cases and according to the procedures set forth in these regulations, by prior reservation through the academic office.

Management of institutional relationships with the teaching staff
In compliance with organizational procedures and the proper management of academic interactions, it is established that students are not authorized to maintain direct contact with teachers for any request, unless explicitly and priorly authorized by the School.

All communications regarding the training program, including requests for clarification, further information, or any need for interaction with the faculty, must be directed exclusively through the academic secretariat, which will act as the official liaison for managing academic relations.

Compliance with this provision is essential to ensure order, transparency, and fairness in the processing of each request, avoiding unequal access to information, and protecting the educational organization from improper interference.

Any request made directly to teachers without the necessary authorization will be considered invalid and will not receive a response.

Malfunction Reporting
Any platform malfunctions must be reported immediately to the academic office. Support is available Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 17:00 pm, excluding holidays.

Tests and Educational Progression
Access to subsequent modules depends on passing the program's true/false tests. Only after successfully completing all modules will students be able to take the final exam.

Final exam
The final exam consists of written and oral tests. Passing the written exam is a prerequisite for admission to the oral exam. Students who fail the written exam may retake it upon payment of €150 for administrative fees.

Total Duration of the Master/Course
At the end of the course, and after having satisfied all the training objectives, the School will certify an overall duration equal to that described in the official brochure.

2. Obtaining the Master's Diploma/Certificate

Requirements
The Master's Diploma or Certificate will be issued only to participants who meet the following requirements:

  • They attended classes regularly, both in the classroom and online.
  • They successfully passed all the written and oral tests.
  • They have completed the full payment of the cost of the Master/Course.

Final exam
The decision of the Examination Committee is final and binding.

Ban on Posting on Social Media
Posting Diplomas or Certificates on social media or other platforms without prior written permission from the School is prohibited.

3. Regulations for Video Lessons and Project Work Activities

Video lessons
As part of the AML Diploma Master's program, teacher-led teaching is delivered via asynchronous video recording.

The modules are published on the e-learning platform for a period of 7 consecutive days (from Monday to Sunday), during which each student has complete autonomy in using the content.

At the end of each video lesson, the teacher may, if applicable, assign a Project Work aimed at the practical application of the skills acquired during the lessons.

Warning about Recorded Lessons
Asynchronous modules recorded by the instructor are available according to a specific schedule, with free access from Monday to Sunday (at midnight), on alternate weeks.

Since these are scheduled activities for the whole class, they cannot be used outside of the established time slots, unless otherwise determined by the School.

This limitation is technical and organizational in nature, as each recovery requires customized intervention on the e-learning platform, with a significant impact in terms of resources and technical management.

However, any requests for recovery may be assessed at the School's discretion and, where technically possible, may be granted for a fee of €150 per module, including the technical activities required to reactivate and register personalized access.

Project Work Activities
As part of the Master's program, students may be assigned project work aimed at the practical application of the skills acquired during the lessons.

These activities may be carried out individually or in subgroups, as established by the Academic Director for each edition of the Master's program.

If the course is conducted in subgroups, students will be divided into groups according to the instructions of the Academic Director. Where applicable, the activities may be presented live with the teacher approximately two weeks after the assignment, according to an agreed-upon timetable (generally in the evening, after 5:00 p.m.).

If the course is carried out individually, the activities will be corrected by the teacher and the results will be communicated to the participant via email.

In any case, the assigned activities must be:

  • completed and delivered within the established deadlines;
  • possibly submitted according to the methods and calendar communicated by the School.

The procedures for conducting and presenting the course will be defined and communicated by the Academic Director at the beginning of the training course.

Participation and completion of assigned activities are an integral part of the training program.

The teaching materials are intended exclusively for Master's participants and may not be disclosed, reproduced, or shared with third parties. The privacy of each student will be guaranteed in accordance with applicable legislation.
