The School's commitment to combating money laundering has been enriched with an important new development: our Anti-Money Laundering Operations Manual for Gaming has just been published. We announced this earlier, but now all the book's authors, as you can see from the photos, have a copy in their hands. Publishing a book is always a thrill, and we wanted to share it with you.
We thank Betpoint and Sisal for this publication: the collaboration with the School also led to the creation of the Executive Master Anti-Money Laundering Specialized Gaming. It was Joseph Malvisini, however, who conceived of an innovative manual that could revolutionize the interpretation of anti-money laundering regulations as they apply to gaming. It also aimed to raise awareness of the sector from the inside, from those who have lived and worked in it for years, and are committed to training anti-money laundering personnel.
To write this manual, the School made available its organization and the expertise of its Faculty, composed of leading experts in the field, both nationally and internationally.
These are the topics of the book. Malvisini presents an overview and explores the reasons for this connection, as well as topics such as anti-money laundering and due diligence. Massimo Ferracci examines the beneficial owner and the evolution of the legislation, starting with the recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force. 231/01 crimes in the gaming sector, match fixing, and the unauthorized conduct of gaming activities are the subject of a reflection by Marcello Presilla, while Gianluca Tannoia focuses on online gaming. The book concludes with a careful analysis of the sanctions system by Salvatore Maione.
